Pedal for Pluralism with ARZA
By Jerry Krautman
Imagine it is a beautiful day and you are on your bike in sunny Los Angeles. Now imagine that you are enjoying the day and helping to strengthen Progressive Judaism in Israel. That is what the ARZARIDE is all about.
For the first time, ARZA is joining with the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition’s Los Angeles River Ride to raise awareness and funds for ARZA, The Reform Israel Fund. Proceeds of the ride will go to strengthen Progressive Judaism in Israel and help us build an inclusive, democratic Israeli society.
The day begins in beautiful Griffith Park! ARZA riders will have their choice of six great rides to choose from – 15, 36, 50, 75, and 100 mile rides. There’s even a special ride and fair for the kids. All of the rides are fully supported with volunteers and professional medical staff. There are also great food and drink at pit stops along the way.
When you get back to Griffith Park, ARZA riders will enjoy a delicious Israeli meal, and receive a commemorative water bottle and t-shirt.
We will be posting updates on our preparations for the ARZARIDE on June 10th! Check out the ARZARIDE page on our website for more information, to register or donate.
