Meet the Bloggers - Ginger Jacobs
My name is Ginger Jacobs. I live in the San Fernando Valley in the greater Los Angeles area. I belong to Beth Chayim Chadashim (better known as BCC) where I have been a member since 1988. I have a Master's in Public Health from UCLA and help teach patients in a large medical provider group. I take the Judaic values seriously, Pekuah Nefesh, saving even one soul is like saving the whole world.
I serve on the Pacific Southwest Council Regional Board as the Social Action Chair. I also serve on the North American Board for Union where I am on several committees, Department of Jewish Family Concerns, Commission on Social Action , and the New Congregations Committee.
I have attended Biennials since 1969, only missing three. (I think)
My biggest excitement about Biennials is the people I meet for the first time as well as the people I only get to see at Biennials. Yes, the learning is great, and so are all the great suggestions and ideas, as well as the wonderful exhibits. But, it is the people that brings me back all the time. I hope to focus on the people at the biennial, new people, long time friends, and overheard comments.
