Meet the Bloggers - Harry Levy, IV
Hi, I am Harry Levy IV from San Antonio, TX. I am a past President of Temple Beth-El here in San Antonio, and am currently active on the Regional Council and North American Board of the Union. I am married to the NFTY-TOR regional advisor (Mary) and have three grown children (Deborah, Kelly, and Jacob). I am a Kutz alumnus (1974) and am still active in Jewish camping as a member of the Greene Family Camp committee.
I am also an unrepentant Biennial Junkie. I have attended every Biennial since Atlanta (1995) and have loved all of them. The Ruach and connectedness with my fellow Reform Jews cannot be overstated. I know that San Diego will be no exception and I am quite excited for it to begin. As this is my first attempt at blogging, I am anxious to find out what it is like to report the goings-on at Biennial. The ability to see folks I have known a long time but see rarely, to attend workshops that are of interest to me and my Congregation, to meet with leaders of our Movement, to be a part of concerts that just don’t make it to San Antonio very often, and to be a part of the largest Reform Congregation in the World (at least for one weekend) are all great opportunities about which to write. As my daughters would say, I am SO looking forward to it.
