It’s happening: the networking, the idea exchanges, seeing old friends and making new ones. I just got through chairing a workshop on budgeting and finance in small congregations. There were two good presentations and multiple questions followed. I think everyone took away some good ideas to take back home to their congregations.

I wish I had remembered to put in a plug for COMMUNICATE when talking with the group. It’s a great resource with good ideas for programming and even some for fundraising. Everyone should check out the Synagogue Management and Small Congregations area (in the resource area near the entrance). It’s amazing the amount of materials that are now published and also available online.

The Small Congregations Committee will be having a reception after the evening program on Thursday in Room 32B. All delegates and friends of small congregations are invited. So “Come On Down!”
