Last weekend our 13 dedicated Camp Coleman Olim Fellows participated in something wonderful and transforming at the 2012 Fall Kallah. The Olim Fellowship is one of many staff training opportunities we offer to our summer staff , and Coleman has been a pioneer in camp staff training programs.

Since the Beginning: Ten Years of Cornerstone Fellows

Cornerstone is an elite North American fellowship of third-year cabin counselors to raise retention in bunk leadership an peer mentorship within the counselor cohorts in camps. As one of the original camps to participate in the program for the last ten years, Camp Director Bobby Harris was invited to reflect on the program and its impact on our staff for the Foundation’s ‘Campfire’ blog.

All About Machon

All About Machon

At the end of April, Coleman’s 8-week Machon and Machon Adventure Program (MAP) participants came to camp for a weekend retreat and introduction to their summer to come. Through mixers, team-building activities, and some exciting roller-skating in town, the group was able to reconnect with old friends and get to know new ones as well.
