Time at Camp

By: Hannah Feldman

For anyone who has been to sleep away camp or in camp terms experienced the “camp bubble” you know that time flows very differently here. At the beginning of the summer you feel you have all the time in the world and camp will go on forever. Somehow we end up here, at the end of the summer and it all went by in a blink of an eye.  Loui often says that time is one of the most precious commodities at camp and has a lot of value and to appreciate every moment of it. Yesterday was packing day and gadol presentations today the campers left to head home.

It feels like yesterday I was sitting at the campfire at the end of staff week before the campers arrived, and Loui was asking the staff to dedicate their upcoming summer to someone special in their lives that connected them to camp. It feels like yesterday we were anxiously waiting the first bunch of campers to arrive and now they have gone home.  It was a great summer and we all have many memories that we will have for years to come.  Now it’s time to start counting down the days until next summer!
