Avodah 2013 Application Now Available

The 2013 application materials are now available for the GFC Avodah counselor-in-training program. The Avodah program combines leadership training and professional development opportunities as they look ahead to their senior year of high school and further to college. It gives them the unique opportunity to learn while having fun with their friends and taking advantage of everything GFC has to offer. Rachael Pearson, a 2012 Avodah participant, shares her experience in the program last summer.

Funtivities

By Emily Andes     One of the reasons we keep returning to camp summer after summer are the traditions. We like knowing that Friday night’s dinner will always be fried chicken, that Maccabiah will always be ‘cancelled’, that the ‘Jessica’ will always be the first Israeli dance, and that the Melachim/Kibbutz dance will be the social event of the season. Building community through vegetables

Today we are lucky to have not one, but two guest bloggers! Jessi Swann and Brian Hertz are the Sustainability team here at GFC. They work to ‘green’ Greene and make sure we are living a sustainable lifestyle. A big part of their day is tending to our garden.
