Michael Davis: Carmel Unit Head for Summer of 2012 I was incredibly excited to attend the leadership retreat at Camp Harlam last week; I was honored to officially be the Carmel Unit Head this summer – I’d previously been a member of the Jewish Life Department – as well as have the opportunity to share the many great ideas that have been percolating in my head since I left camp last summer. When I arrived at camp two Sundays ago I was excited for a summer with my friends. However, it was only after my first week working with campers that I realized how truly fulfilling my Machon summer would be. Not only are we given the opportunity to influence individual campers, but we also have the chance to influence the camp community as a whole.
