When the founders of Jacobs Camp set out to create a place that would give their children & future generations a rich Jewish experience, and a place to serve as the spiritual & educational center for the Reform Jews of the Deep South, who could have ever foreseen what an amazingly transformative place Jacobs would become! While Jacobs continually strives to evolve & grow, the essence of what Jacobs does for children has not changed: Jacobs Camp teaches valuable life lessons experientially, cultivates interpersonal skills, builds strong Jewish identities and gives its campers a great summer experience.
Even with the economic challenges affecting all of us in some way, Jacobs Camp has sought to do all it can for its
constituents. During the summer of 2012, Jacobs was able to provide almost $275,000 of financial assistance to 200 campers, a level we anticipate will need to be matched in 2013. Not only have we been able to help out our families financially, but, we have also continued to make meaningful improvements to our facilities and grounds, and have sought to hire the very best staff team we can, to ensure that our children get the very best Jewish camping experience possible. We have been blessed by an incredible community of supporters – our campers and their parents, thousands of alumni, and an extensive network of committed individuals and families. Thank you so much for all you do!
As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on annual gifts to support our work. And this year, we need your help. We hope you will consider giving the gift of Jacobs Camp to a child in our region. We invite you to consider providing . . .
- One Day of Camp for $161
- One Week of Camp for $1,127
- One Session of Camp for $3,875
- One Summer of Camp for $7,550
You have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the life of a Jewish child. Your name will be listed in Jacobs Camp’s Year End Report for 2012 as a “Friends of Jacobs Camp” and your gift will help us continue to create life-shaping experiences for our campers, while continuing to build the Jewish future in the process.Thank you for caring so deeply about the children of Jacobs Camp.
