Be Our Friend

by Kathy Grundfest, Friends Campaign Chair

My youngest daughter, Lauren, traveled to Israel with Jacobs Camp this past summer.  While it was the first time in many years that I did not have a child in Utica, the Jacobs Magic definitely traveled with her as she experienced the Holy Land with all of her Camp friends.  The bonds formed at Jacobs are like no other, no matter where you are in the world.

wishI am proud to share that Jacobs Camp has never turned down a camper based on financial need.  During the summer of 2013, Jacobs provided almost $275,000 in financial assistance to 200 campers.  We anticipate the same amount will be needed 2014. Not only have we been able to help out these families financially, but, we continue to make meaningful improvements to our facilities and grounds, and have sought to hire the very best staff team.  Jacobs works to ensure that our children get the very best Jewish camping experience possible. We has been blessed by an incredible community of supporters – our parents, thousands of alumni, and an extensive network of committed individuals and families. Thank you so much for all you do!

As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on annual gifts to support our work.  And this year, we need your help. We hope you will consider giving the gift of Jacobs Camp to a child in our region. We invite you to consider providing . . .

-One Day of Camp for $165
-One Week of Camp for $1,155
– One Session of Camp for $3,975
-One Summer at Camp for $7,950

You have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the life of a Jewish child. Your name will be listed in Jacobs Camp’s Year End Report as a “Friend of Jacobs Camp.” Most importantly, your gift will help us continue to create life-shaping experiences for our campers, while continuing to build the Jewish future in the process.

Join me today, and support Jacobs Camp.  The value of a Jacobs Camp experience is immeasurable – it provides so much to so many children and young adults, as well as their families, their congregations and our Jewish community.  Jacobs Camp is continually committed to strengthening the Jewish identity of thousands of children and adults summer after summer.  We can’t do it without your help!
