Being able to walk in a community and feel so at home really says something. On Thursday, October 25th, after three planes, some birds in the way, hour-long delays and a detour in Chicago, I was able to experience this first hand.

Ever since I was born, I have been listening to Jewish music. My mom used to only have Jewish CDs in the car so whenever we drove anywhere we were listening to Jewish music.

The end of summer 2006 was a mixture of “see you in February!” and “you better request me for housing!” All of these departing words were, of course, in reference to Convention in Philadelphia that coming year.

As a child, one of my favorite holiday songs was sung during Sukkot. “Apples are delicious, they are so nutritious, you don’t have to wash any dishes, sing a Sukkah song!” This complex arrangement was sung (and not very well) for the entirety of the holiday.
