As a child, one of my favorite holiday songs was sung during Sukkot. “Apples are delicious, they are so nutritious, you don’t have to wash any dishes, sing a Sukkah song!” This complex arrangement was sung (and not very well) for the entirety of the holiday.

Growing Up With the High Holidays

With a new year comes a fresh slate. Rosh Hashanah allows everyone a time to take a step back, evaluate the past year, and breathe. The New Year is equally as sweet as the apples and honey we eat to commemorate it. What I love most about the new year is that the sweets of the coming year are there for your taking, but it’s up to you to decide if you want to indulge in it.
