Walking into the Hebrew Union College for a Jewish weekend retreat, I have to admit- I was exceptionally nervous. I knew almost nothing about the weekend, except that it was going to be about identity and creativity in Judaism. Immediately, however, my fears lessened when I was welcomed warmly by the staff and a few fellow teens who had already arrived.
