Rebuilding the Lower 9th Ward

One aspect of working in the Lower 9th Ward that amazed me was the attitude of the residents. They were so hopeful and faithful to the city and area they call home. As we toured and worked in the community, we witnessed destruction that still remains but also the successful efforts towards rebuilding. We worked side by side with other volunteer groups who, just like us, felt an obligation to do our part to repair the world.
