How Badly Do YOU Want to End Workplace Discrimination?

A committee mark up of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act in the House is likely this week with a floor vote soon to follow, and now is a crucial time to let your members of Congress know how much YOU want to end workplace discrimination! There is no federal law that protects gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender individuals from this type of discrimination, but ENDA would make it illegal to refuse to hire, fire, refuse to promote or demote an individual based on his or her real or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.

TakeActionWhite.jpgCheck out the RAC's brand new resources for taking action on ENDA: you can send an email, write a letter, make a phone call or schedule a visit to your legislator's office. Once you've taken action, post to our Facebook page and let us know how YOU acted to end workplace discrimination against LGBT individuals. The first ten people to post will receive a special RAC prize.

As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me at rkatz@rac.org. Let's ENDAscrimination in the workplace!
