Mother Earth to Mothers: Action #13

Mil4bil.jpgThe 2011 Consultation on Conscience is officially over, and it was officially quite the success. Nearly 500 people attended, speakers included Vice President Al Gore and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, and we celebrated the RAC’s 50th anniversary in style at the Gala. Now it’s back to work on all of the issues we care so deeply about, beginning with international family planning and the Mother Earth to Mothers: 17 Days of Action campaign.

Today’s action step, Action #13, is: Start a discussion with your friends or family about why you think international family planning is important. You can talk over lunch, dinner, snack, coffee, or any meal or beverage! Here are some sample questions to get the conversation going:

  • Why do you care about international family planning?
  • Why do you think it is important for the United States to play a strong role in funding and supporting international family planning efforts?
  • How do your Reform Jewish values, or other religious or moral values, relate to your support for international family planning?

And, of course, check back every day for the new action step.
