Anoka-Hennepin Students: “It Gets Better”

You may have heard that the infamous Anoka-Hennepin school district recently tweaked its policy regarding what teachers can say about homosexuality. Things will change further as a result of a lawsuit brought by the students that was recently settled. Although the settlement did not require the district to admit fault for its complicity in the bullying and harassment of its own students, it did require the district to agree to significant changes in how it deals with LGBT issues and bullying.

But the changes to the district’s abhorrent policies were not the only good thing to come out of the lawsuit: The students who brought the lawsuit have now produced their own “It Gets Better” video, which will join the RAC’s video and the thousands of other “It Gets Better” videos that provide hope to LGBT students who experience bullying and harrassment. Watch it after the jump!
