    This night differs. Why?

    Matzah, maror, dip, recline

    Keep asking questions

    Most important thing:

    Regard yourself as if You

    Were saved from Egypt.

here is our Haiku-Gada.... Additions were sent in from our Seder participants...but most of it was done by me for a good flow...

    The Haiku-Gada:
    Passover 5769
We gather to read the tale
    That we tell each year

    We read of bondage
    We learn of Heb redemption
    Open the door for strangers

    House smells of Pesach
    “Helping” by sneaking stealth bites
My numb one fave day (Sally Cohen-Cutler)

    There is no freedom
    Until the heart is open
Even unto the captor (Elaine Kaven)

    I like haroset
I will drink four cups of wine
I will be too full (Sam)

    Oh Great Haggadah
    That I read every Pesach
Love matzah ball soup (Nathan Cutler)

    True sentiment for
    A Cohen-Cutler Seder
    All leave very full

    Seder means order
So we must keep it all straight
    Tonight we eat late

    From blessings on Wine
    Officially numbering
    Four, Sally you’re done

    Now go wash your hands
Then we can have a bissel
    But just a little

    Don’t worry too much
Mid Matzah did not get hurt
    But it is broken

    With that it’s time to
Start the story of the Jews
    Leaving Egypt quick

    The Jews leave Egypt.
    The steps of the Egyptian
first born lead the way. (Rob Kaven)

    Into the desert
    the living follow the dead.
    Everyone eats dew. (Rob Kaven)

    Learn to make the best
of bad wine and burnt bread
by draining four cups (Rob Kaven)

    Call it miracle,
but don’t be sure they did, who
died in the wastelands (Rob Kaven)

    Since you are all here
    You have received the invite
    Can we eat yet please?

    No first we need to
    Ask four interesting Qs
    From the youngest Jew

    This night’s different
Why is that the case he asks?
    He goes on, three more

    Why do we dip twice
    Only eat bread unleaven
    And recline so nice?

    Now four sons, ask Qs
    Allows for moral stories
    A fave of the Jews

    We go and learn more
As well as pour more a glass
    Of wine, not too sweet

    Almost time to eat
We must make sure hands are clean
    Wash them with water

    Say the Matzah prayer
    Talk of Hillel and sandwich
    Make and then enjoy

    Say Baruch ha’shem!
It is time to eat some soup
    Fowl, Asparagus

    Flunken in Tzimmus
    Stuffing and gefilta fish
    Later jelly roll

    By the way you friends
    Asparagus and G-fish
    Hard for the Haiku

    While seldom done here
There is more to tell post food
    Prayers, Wine, Elijah

    Then we sing some songs
Rapping it up with thanks for
    Freedom and the like

    Tradition has said
    Next year in Jerusalem
    I say one more here!

(A Passover Limerick, but close enough)
There was a young fella named Donnie
Who posed us a quizzical quandary…
    To write a haiku
    About being a jew…
and the lessons from when we were wanderin’ (Jana Rosenblatt)

    responds lak --

    Gefilte fish is
not too hard for haiku but
    Must have horseradish.

    Passover Okay
    Celebrated seven days.
    Eight is hard to take.
