We invite everyone to join the conversation about observing Shabbat today. This is the place to discuss everything from ways to celebrate at home to our relationship with God and Jewish community, as well as recipes and Jewish art projects - all in the context of Shabbat.

My crockpot makes nice Friday night dinners possible. Our most traditional is a basic chicken stew: chicken, water, bay leaf and peppercorns cooked all day in my crockpot. On Thursday night I mix and shape the challah, then refrigerate it. On Friday after work I bake it just in time for dinner. A nice Shabbat dinner is on the table by 6 so we can eat and make it to services too!
