As a graduate of both Tougaloo College and Jackson State University, the recent bomb threats to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are personal to me. Since January 2022, over a dozen HBCUs have received bomb threats; several of those threats were received on the first day of Black history month. The continuous attacks on institutions of higher learning; places of worship and individual attacks are a direct threat to our everyday existence.

Why We Need a “Spiritual Co-conspiratorship” for Justice

During the 2020 uprising for Black lives, Yehudah was the lead organizer of the 40 Days of Teshuvah action that created a space of mourning the destruction of Black communities and crying out to the Heavens for spiritual co-conspiratorship in the fight for racial justice.

We Are Done Waiting

I am done with people in power ending their action at “thoughts and prayers.” The thoughts and prayers that were sent a day ago, year ago, and decades ago have not and will not save human life, nor protect us.
