On behalf of the 1.5 million Reform Jews of the Union for Reform Judaism and the 2,000 rabbis of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, I write to request a meeting at the soonest possible date.

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 18, 2016 - Today, the Reform Movement reached out directly to Donald Trump, requesting a meeting at the earliest possible date to discuss our concerns about his campaign rhetoric and views, which have included appeals to bigotry and have been offensive to women, people of color, and others. Such statements have challenged our longstanding commitment to civil rights, religious freedom, gender equality and other deeply held American values.

The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) proudly announces that Jo-Ellen Unger, RJE, has been named a 2020 Distinguished Educator by the Association of Reform Jewish Educators (ARJE). Unger, the founding director of the URJ 6 Points Creative Arts Academy, is the first camp director to receive this recognition.
